Burning Bridges

Burning Bridges

My heart breaks with your cry.
How can I be happy?
When you’re barely getting by.
I just want to see you smile,
there’s no distance,
I would go the extra mile.
Your love for him has to be strong.
A man like that is weak and wrong.
To turn his back on his life,
and pursue a whore, not his wife.
Pathetic to his friends,
A coward to his family,
But to God, it’s BLASPHEMY.
So run little boy,
forget your morals,
forget your character,
forget your faith,
and run to hell
where she’ll be waiting for you.

Emotional Abendrot

Emotional Abendrot

Is it possible the sun is just an angry star?
Rising calmly with the cool morning air,
but never recognized for it’s contributions
and abilities to help love grow.
Relying on the wind for a chill breeze as it curses the land
with rays of heat and haunts the trees with shadows of rage.
Until it’s emotions have finally piqued with frustration,
does the sky turn red, and do you realize
you have taken for granted the light of the world
as it falls furiously behind the mountain,
only to face another ungrateful day.

Metalwork

Metalwork

Metalwork, Swordsmithing, and Blacksmithing are all in the same realm of craft. It’s a long process of forging metal using a hammer, grinder, heat, and cold. The heat is used to make the metal flexible and the term is called “Tempered”.  The cold is to harden the metal, the term is called quenched. One way to tell if the sword is complete is for the flame to essentially polish the sword, so much so that the Blacksmith can see his own reflection on the metal inside the flame.

You’ll call her wild,
she’ll call you play.
You can have a body of iron,
and she would forge you her way.
You need patience of a blacksmith,
to convince her to stay.
She can seduce you with silence,
and allure you with violence.
She’s a double-edged sword,
her mind won’t be ignored.
Tempered by the fire that excites her,
when the heat ignites without shame,
and only when you see your reflection
in her erratic flame.
A man with a craft is who she’ll claim,
but don’t forget she has sharp edges
that you polished the same.
You quenched the blade,
that forced her spirit cold
and her soul betrayed.
The weapon is for bloodshed
because her love for you was misled.
She would carve your veins
if you left her heart broken in chains.

Ishq Perspective

Ishq Perspective

If retaliation is known as
“an eye for an eye will make
the whole world blind,”
I pray peace live within your
physical body and if I shall
bestow one wish,
I wish for you to fall in love.
Because a heart for a heart
is the ultimate revenge.
Where love is viewed as a
manic curse, that enables a
sightless life, sequentially
resulting in self-destruction;

the same bane I inherited,
when I loved you.

My thoughts leading into Ishq Perspective:
Contemplating the difference of love and revenge. Scaling the conflict of passion and religion. Wondering why lust is an addiction and adoration is essentially self infliction.

And if you’re wondering,
“ishq” is an Arabic word meaning “love” “passion” or “to love without lust”

Its your life

Its your life

she became cold to her surroundings
her survival method was frowning
fighting for everyone’s happiness
only known for haughtiness

she was numb to normal
chaos felt cordial
hiding behind frozen eyes
she’s been told endless lies

everything she hoped for,
everything she dreamed,
only made her a working fiend

she lost her spark,
her world turned dark,
she challenged her morals,
she confronted her spirit,
she lacked her smile,
that’s not her style.

She was desperately broken,
Wisely unspoken,
Questioning devotion,
just going through the motions.

Strong enough to choose,
Smart enough to justify,
and brave enough to gamble.
